Power Quality

Power quality has a direct impact on the reliability, efficiency, and lifetime of electrical equipment, including transformers and critical industrial assets. Disturbances such as harmonics, voltage variations, and transient events can lead to overheating, insulation stress, malfunctions, and premature failures.
EWP provides power quality analysis and measurement services, supporting clients in identifying issues, understanding root causes, and implementing effective improvement solutions. We support utilities and industrial clients through a combination of simulation, on-site measurement, and engineering analysis, including harmonic studies and network calculations, allowing the evaluation of distortion levels and their impact on transformers and connected equipment.
We also perform on-site power quality measurements, capturing real operating conditions and identifying anomalies that cannot be detected through theoretical analysis alone.
Our analysis includes the evaluation of harmonic distortion and resonance phenomena, voltage and current variations under normal and disturbed conditions, and transient events, including slow, fast, and very fast transients. When required, we also carry out special measurements, including non-electrical quantities, to better understand complex phenomena affecting system performance.
From Analysis to Solutions, EWP supports clients in defining practical and effective mitigation strategies.
Based on the identified issues, we provide tailored recommendations such as system configuration adjustments, filtering solutions, or operational improvements aimed at restoring acceptable power quality levels and protecting critical assets.
